most coveted

Unleashing biker punk Vivienne Westwood style. Such fierce, statement armour rings-drool.

3.1 Phillip Lim's sesnsational peace t-shirt. My lack of student loan means I may have to settle for an ebay version...
Black mock suspender tights from Henry Hollands range for pretty polly. They appear seemingly difficult to ladder- practical and awesome.

Urban Outfitters Renewal re-made leather skirt. I adore the framing of the panelled front and the handy pockets.

smells like...

Of all places to draw inspiration, Dizzee Rascal is my most unexpected source. The rapper and song writer's spectacle headline performance at Bestival unearthed my newfangled love for him.

He performed a cover of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' with such panache wearing Nirvana's classic smiley face t-shirt. Post Dizzee performance blues induced a need to blast 'Nevermind' through my JBL's- I forgot how raw they are.

Once I washed off 5 days worth of dirt and restored my sleep, I jumped onto ebay to grab myself said smily face t-shirt.

ding dong

It's been 13 years since I last attended a wedding. It was my mum's and my only worries consisted of how to survive wearing the itchy white tights and how long I could contain the anticipation of receiving my "best bridesmaid" teddy award.

In 3 weeks my cousin is getting married at London's decadent One Great George Street, so, naturally, this realisation induced a "sans dress" panic galore.

I discovered dress perfection a few months back but it sold out after entering the sales, rendering me befuddled. But the fashion God's were shining on me today as I stumbled across THE same dress in my size online, hallelujah.

time for gold, Louise Goldin

Like many of the contributing designers to LFW, Louise Goldin spent 7 years studying at Central Saint Martins (Foundation, BA and MA). So she is more than qualified to create fierce and awe-inspiring articles.

Autumn/Winter 2010

Goldin particularly shines with her knitted fabrics, which formulate structured and sculpted garments.

Her love of science reflects in her futuristic textures and framing.

Her coalition with Topshop was a rapid success and garments sold out in a flash. Take a peek at her presentation on 21 September at 17:00 - 19:00.

Kinder, yum:

Kinder Aggugini once designed for fashion royalty Vivienne Westwood. His talents also stretch to designing for brand giants Calvin Klein, Paul Smith and Versace-w.o.w.

Autumn/Winter 2010

From full-flowing gowns to leather biker jackets, his rocking chic design signature is a marriage of Coco Chanel and Sid Vicious.

welcome back Mr Jonathan Saunders

As one of my LFW favourites, I felt morally obliged to dedicate a post to this stunning designer and his delicate new collection.

Mr Jonathan Saunders burst onto the scene in 2003, one year after graduating from Saint Martin’s with an MA in printed textile.

Pre-collection S/S 11

His intricately engineered graphic prints in kaleidoscopic colour are more than standing ovation inducing.

The sharp silhouettes of his early collections have become more fluid, sophisticated and simple in this season.

Be sure to grab Saunders' first pre-collection- in stores from November.

Irwin & Jordan- the return of British elegance

Designer Zoe Jordan's architectural roots have a profound impact of the intricate structure of her new collection.

The Spring/Summer 2011 collection- (hitting the runway next week)

Particularly crafted for clean elegance with a boyish twist, the spectacular designs beckon to, according to Jordan, the "boys’ best friend and the girls’ confidante.”

Jordan's latest collection draws from Chinese contemporary artists, modern watercolours and the quintessential English garden party.

For her forthcoming collection, Jordan took to the top of a London bus for inspiration.

Her structured short suits are heavily influenced by the tailors on Savile Row.

Flicking through this collection gives me an insatiable urge to go punting in Cambridge. Just me?

happie loves it...so will you

Happie Loves It began its life at a beach back in 2000, where designers Happie and Sean would make customized clothes for their friends.

Ten years on and their alluring collection draws admirers aplenty to the unique and dreamy pieces of clothing.

Happie and Sean were inspired by the natural beauty of Italy: the colours and tranquility, with the landscapes and towns of Arezzo and Sienna. It was their deep adoration of the country which kept them there as they designed and made clothes. They captured what they cherished in Italy, which translated a liberated aesthetic to their garments.

Each individual item of clothing is uniquely tailored, so you can guarantee nobody else will own your coveted item.

Their clothes are a concoction of a 50's girl next door meets fairytale Disney princess and are comfortable and youthful.
Their collection is available at ASOS

Goodone-dignified gym attire

This season brings hip-eco-friendly-sports-inspired garments courtesy of designers Nin Castle and Clare Farrell.

Based in the UK, the innovative pair specialise in mixed textures, tones and stripes for this month's LFW.

Hitting the treadmill.

The sustainable knitwear label is easily accessible and have teamed up with high street giant Topshop for their latest range. Goodone tailor to those with sporting tendencies- they previously released a limited edition quilted bag for Puma in 2009.

Their  fashion philosophy is to "exceed expectations of what recycled fashion can be by creating clothing that is high-end and special with a wearable aesthetic.”

This ethos is most pertinent in that they utilised industry ends of rolls and industrial waste for their SS10 collection shown at LFW.

The eco-savvy line have also designed a recycled collection through Tesco, set for launch in October 2010.

Through this, Goodone aims to help recycle the 2 million tons of wasted clothing that the fashion industry generates.

Goodone create for charity too and in 2009 they designed a limited edition dress for the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign.

Felder Felder

German sisters Annette and Daniela Felder fuse their modern, sexy and cool designing etiquette for contemporary chic.

Take a glimpse at their pre-collections S/S11:

Their extremely wearable new articles are sure to be rapidly extrapolated to the high street. The 70's high waisted shorts and jeans, with the full swinging skirts are wildly at east.

Find their collections at London stores such as Liberty and Browns Focus.

Eley Kishimoto...my christmas list please

London based duo Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto focus on print, colour and unsubtlety.

They drew inspiration for their latest spring/summer 2011 collection from "imitation, 3D on 2D and clothes drying on a rack". Wak obscurely finds that inspiration strikes whilst in the bathtub.

Images from Autumn/Winter 2010 collection

The beautifully brash 60's shift dresses hark to childhood memoirs of how my mum dressed me and my sisters.

Their fascination by the juxtaposition of old and new arts is palpable in their  collection for Autumn/Winter 2010.

Catch the Eley Kishimoto presentation at 17 September 2010, 18.30-20.30
