New year, new lookbook

Hark now, Topshop have welcomed us into the new year by unveiling their stomach-crippling S/S11 collections that are set to pave the season in vogue.

In times of aimless newspaper assessment writing and exam preparing, these newfangled trends merit a healthy 5-minute stint at procrastination station.

Starting off with the newly released Snake Valley collection, which focuses on the resurgence of festival uniform.

Heavily featuring fringed kimonos, snakeskin hot pants, beaded moccasins and crochet waistcoats, this liberating range is inspired by bygone gypsy rockers who have a knack for layering.

Accessorised with turquoise jewellery, feather headpieces and dream catcher earrings, capturing this 70s essence on any level is easy as scuffing your new Christmas suede boots.

Folk details are a prominent theme for Topshop's new collections. Crafty cut-out details on suede jackets layered over floral prints conjure up a subtle country feel.

Playful polka dot prints with paisley jackets garner a fluid retro silhouette.

Bold pop shades mixed with clashing rainbow accessories create a 50s vibe.
It is time for the kick flare to shine this spring. Style with clashing tones and a metallic wedge for a zany folk rocker look.
